Kisuke Shimizu I founded Shimizuya in Kanda Kaji-cho, Edo.
1881
Company name changed to Shimizu Mannosuke Ten.
1883
Company's head office relocated to Yoshida-cho, Yokohama.
1892
Assigned the Nihombashi Honkoku-cho store in Tokyo as the head office and the Yokohama store as a branch.
1903
The head office building in Minamisaya-cho, Kyobashi-ku, Tokyo, completed.
1915
Reorganized into a limited partnership, Shimizu Gumi, Ltd., instead of sole proprietorship.
1932
The headquarters building in Takara-cho, Kyobashi-ku, Tokyo, completed.
1937
Shimizu Gumi Co., Ltd. was founded, absorbing Shimizu Gumi, Ltd.
1948
Company name changed to Shimizu Construction Co., Ltd.
1961
Initial public offering of shares.
1962
Shares listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1987
Company name in English changed to Shimizu Corporation.
1991
SEAVANS was completed in Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and the corporate headquarters was relocated there.
2012
New headquarters building was completed in Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
