Growing alongside society and creating environments where people can enjoy comfort and peace of mind
At the Shimizu Group, we seek to be a Smart Solutions Company, with the construction business positioned at its core. Our goal is to advance the sustainability of society and of construction while providing value that surpasses customer expectations.
A Smart Solutions Company is a company or group of companies that provides customers with added value and timely solutions. This is done through proactive participation, investment, and management in promising spheres of business surrounding the core construction business, as opposed to focusing solely on basic construction tasks.
Towards the realization of the Long-term Vision "Smart Vision 2010", Shimizu formulated the Midterm Management Plan 2010 (FY2010–2014) in November 2010.

Towards the realization of the Long-term Vision "Smart Vision 2010", Shimizu formulated the Midterm Management Plan 2010 (FY2010–2014) in November 2010. The plan is designed to define basic policies, action plans and performance targets for FY2010-2014.
Life-Cycle Valuation
All members of the Shimizu team are working to surpass customer expectations by promoting Life-Cycle Valuation (LCV).

Life-Cycle Valuation (LCV) refers to activities that provide levels of service only available from Shimizu. LCV involves the integration of Shimizu's technologies and expertise to maximize the total value provided to customers. This goal is achieved by quantifying and visualizing the value customers expect throughout the entire life cycle of a construction project. This life cycle includes everything from project conception and planning proposals to design and engineering, construction, and operation and management. Ultimately, this approach enables practical assessment of the value created by Shimizu.

Shimizu has designed the logo shown below to symbolize its unique approach toward promoting the LCV concept:

Note: Based on the motif of a lower-case "i" (representing "insight" into value and its "integration"), this logo features two dots above the "i" to represent the partnership between Shimizu and its customers.
