Multipurpose Testing Laboratory This facility contains rooms for X-ray and electron microscope analysis, soil testing, testing in controlled temperature and humid environments, and other projects. Vibration Testing Laboratory This laboratory houses the highest quality triaxialvibration table in the construction industry. Witheight hydraulic actuators, this triaxial vibration table can precisely simulate earthquake vibration. It is equipped with a 96- channel measuring system. Wind Tunnel Testing Laboratory This laboratory is equipped with a boundary-layer wind tunnel for circulation-type wind resistance experiments. Included are a multi-point wind velocity and direction measuring system, a 512-point simultaneous pressure measuring system, and various simulation systems. Also equipped with a snow drift wind tunnel to simulate snow drift on the roofs and around buildings. Rock Testing Laboratory Here researchers study the mechanical properties, thermal response and permeability of rocks, using hydraulic servo-controlled triaxial compression tests and equipment for preparing rock. Clean Room Laboratory Testing can be conducted under various spatial and environmental conditions in the Industrial Clean Room (ICR) and the Biological Clean Room (BCR). The Biochemical Experiment Room and the Air Filter Experiment Room round out the facilities of this laboratory. Ultra-Clean Room Laboratory This large, bio-hazard clean room is used for various experiments, including the testing of pressure difference control systems, automatic sterilization systems, and variation systems. Acoustics Laboratory Various sound-related experiments are possible, using an anechoic chamber and a unique reverberant chamber system, which consists of a moveable sound-generating room and an air-spring vibration-proof sound-receiving room. Geotechnical Centrifuge Laboratory This facility is equipped with a high performance shaking table for rotating models at high speed and making the pressure of the model ground the same as the actual ground. Seismic wave excitation can be achieved using this system. Vibration Control Testing Laboratory In this laboratory, a Hybrid Mass Damper (HMD) system and a wind and earthquake observation system are installed in order to verify the effectiveness of vibration control methods.
